(by Jason Ian Hector, REALTOR® and Short Sale Specialist--January 5, 2013)
In order to do a HAFA Short Sale, homeowners are required to hire a licensed REALTOR, like myself, to assist in the short sale process. Being experienced in short sales and having seen all the pitfalls, it is my opinion that there is no replacement for professional advice.
RASS Form (HAFA Request for Approval of Short Sale also known as a HAFA Pre-Approved Short Sale)
Alternative RASS (HAFA Alternative Request for Approval of Short Sale) Keep in mind that the RASS and ARASS forms will be provided by the lender and NOT the homeowners.
Non-Owner Occupant Certification (HAFA form) The borrower is to complete this form to help the lender determine the occupancy status.
IRS Form 4506-t Signed Federal Tax Return Transcript Request Form is another requirement for the HAFA Program.
